One of YouTube’s biggest children’s entertainment shows nearly sold-out the Straz Center For the Performing Arts on Tuesday night.
The show drew excitement from young fans and parents alike, adding to the venue’s lineup of family-friendly programming.
Since launching just five years ago, Danny Go! has skyrocketed in popularity, blending music, movement and learning in a way that captivates kids. The show’s engaging format and energetic cast have turned it into a go-to favorite for parents looking for interactive entertainment.
Straz Center CEO Greg Holland admits that when he first heard the show was coming, he wasn’t sure what to expect.
“When I first heard we were doing Danny Go!, I went on YouTube and thought, ‘What is this?’ and I was mesmerized for two hours. It’s no surprise kids love it,” Holland said.
While Danny Go! is the latest highlight, the Straz Center remains a hub for family-oriented arts and education year-round. Through theater performances, community partnerships, and summer camps, the center reaches more than 80,000 students across the Tampa Bay area.
“I think of the Straz Center as a home for education, children and families. That’s the heart and soul of what we do,” Holland said.
The center’s Patel Conservatory offers a variety of interactive workshops, summer camps and classes in theater, dance and music, giving young aspiring performers hands-on experience in the arts.
For families looking for more upcoming events, Disney’s The Lion King is set to take the stage soon, promising another major draw to the venue.
