Jessica Alba files for divorce after nearly two decades of marriage

Jessica Alba has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Cash Warren.

According to People, Alba appeared in court on Feb. 7, citing “irreconcilable differences” in the filing and listed the couple’s separation date as Dec. 27, 2024. Alba was recently more vocal about the impending divorce, as she shared an update on Jan. 16.

In the Instagram post, Alba stated she had been on a “self-realization” journey and that the two were separating.

“I’ve been on a journey of self-realization and transformation for years as an individual and in a partnership with Cash, “Alba wrote. “I’m proud of how we’ve grown as a couple and in our marriage over the last 20 years, and it’s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.”

She said that the pair is choosing to continue with “kindness” and asked for respect as they moved forward with proceedings.

“We are moving forward with love and kindness and respect for each other and will forever be family,” Alba said. “Our children remain our highest priority, and we request privacy at this time.”

Alba and Warren, 46, married on May 19, 2008, and they share three children: Honor, 16, Haven, 13, and Hayes, 7. She filed for joint custody. People reported that the actress also requested for her legal name to be restored back to Jessica Marie Alba.
Warren helped produce “The Fantastic Four.” Alba, 43, is most known for her roles in “The Fantastic Four,” “Honey,” and more recently “Trigger Warning.”
