South Florida Wins Eighth Straight Victory At UNC Charlotte, 70-52

Sophomore guard Vittoria Blasigh matched a season-best 19 points in South Florida women’s basketball’s (19-8, 12-2 AAC), 70-52, routing of UNC Charlotte (8-17, 3-11 AAC) at Halton Arena on Tuesday night. USF has extended its current win streak to a season-best eight games and has emerged victorious is 14 of its last 16 contests.

Senior guard L’or Mputu (11 points & 10 rebounds) collected her 5th double-double of the season (6th career). Graduate guard Sammie Puisis (10 points) added her 21st game of the season in double-digit points. Junior forward Carla Brito (12 rebounds) grabbed her ninth double-digit game of the season. Graduate guard Mama Dembele (six assists) has dished out five or more assists in six straight games and 18 total contests this season.

The 49ers were led by a combined 28-point effort from Keanna Rembert (14 points) and Alexis Andrews (14 points)

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED

The Bulls used a 14-2 run to establish a 20-point advantage going into halftime, and USF never looked back.
