80’s teen pop star Tiffany entertained a crowd full of fans at the Jaeb Theater at the Straz Center in Tampa, Sunday night. The intimate setting was perfect for the personal connection that she was looking to give her fans.
Being an 80’s girl myself, I had a pre-determination of how the show was going to go and it was so much better then expected. Having never seeing her live before, I didn’t know exactly what to expect, but I do believe that all the fans had a wonderful time.
Tiffany’s voice was beautiful and very powerful. Her new music is inspiring and fun, and I can’t wait for her new album to be released. She had all the fans out of their seats dancing to some of her newer music from her most recent album, “A Million Miles” and songs like “Can’t Stop Falling” (her latest single) and “Butterfly” and “Waking Up for The First Time.” Of course, it wouldn’t be complete without her hit-songs from the 80’s, “I Think We’re Alone Now,” “Could’ve Been,” and “I Saw Him Standing There.”
Tiffany assembled an all-star touring band which included the power vocals of Jen Friend on background vocals, guitarist Trevor Finlay, and keyboardist Tony Castillo. They thrilled the crowd through their 90 minute set, and even cued the bubble machines several times to add some more excitement to the show. The show was definitely a great time!
So, even if your not a 80s person, this is a show that you will definitely want to see. You will hear great music and have a great time.
